My deepest condolences to the family. Mema will greatly be missed. I will always remember that smile she always had on her face. Waving to me while she was sitting in the front room looking out the window when I walked by the house  with my dog.  May God be with you during this time.

Dear Butch, Danny, Debbie, Dayna and family, On behalf of the Colgates I reach out with the deepest of sympathies. We are praying that the God of all comfort consoles you in the loss of your beloved mom. I know He is near to the brokenhearted. May you also find comfort in the wonderful memories that are being shared among your family and friends. 
Having lived next door for 40 t years I wish I had more room to share the many I have.  I remember your mom for the artistic flair she possessed and that cool mod living room furniture when I was young.  I remember her great sense of humor and her hearty laughter. I remember her calling for your father out the front door and knowing instantly he was in some real hot water-oh my-I remember the conversations we had in the living room or on the porch. One of them 
I remember like it was yesterday. She told me that in order for relationships to endure we must learn to take the good with the bad. The wisdom in that statement still rings true. We had such a happy childhood on Barbara St. and your mom and family are a big part of those great memories. Just like your father, your mom always welcomed me warmly  and kindly into your home. I appreciated that.
I'll end with my last memory of your mom which took place this past Sept. when I came down with my parents to spend time with her. I wanted to share the love of God with her and let her know how much Jesus cared for her. It was a sweet time and I trust the deepest part of her (her spirit) received the blessing of His compassion. I'll always treasure this and all the memories I have of your mother. May God bless you all with His presence and peace.  In His love,  Steve

My memories of Teri are so vast and so varied that it’s difficult to put an intelligent paragraph together; 
In no certain order:

•	Our all night card games…and they were all night;
•	Picture window paintings for each holiday or season – what a gifted artist she was;
•	The Mikasa warehouse sale where we stood outside in a hurricane waiting for the doors to open, but why not when napkins were $.25, and dishes $1;
•	Hershey Park and the Amish country in the rain – Jerry had his own personal rain cloud that traveled with him;
•	Teri and I standing at the door during one major snowstorm watching Jerry trying to get back into the driveway with the dog after the plow dumped a mountain of snow at the foot of the driveway…we laughed so hard we cried;
•	Our road trip to Nashville with the two of us in the back seat laughing and laughing;
•	The cruise where 8 of us took a limo to Baltimore to pick up the ship, drinking mimosas for 4 hours;
•	Teaching Teri to eat clams and lobster on the pier in Maine;
•	Teaching me as a newlywed how to make gravy (marinara sauce/meat sauce);
•	Sharing each other’s holidays;
•	My son’s Godmother – how she adored him;
•	Alan and Shelby in Dayna’s wedding;
•	Sitting at the water’s edge, just watching the waves break and listening to the quiet at the end of the day – “our toes in the water and a—in the sand” as the song now goes.

Debbie and Dayna, Danny and Bruce, you will always be part of my family.  And I know I speak for my children as well when I say how much we loved your parents. We love you all, including Marcello, Robert, Alan and Nancy, and hold you dear to our hearts always.

Thank you for being the best grandma I could ever ask for. Growing up we did everything together and you always knew how to make me smile and happy wether it was coming down with Dad after work and surprising me with a visit for a week or so, making me my own special tray of Mac and Cheese without bread crumbs on it, or all the laughter I had with your sense of humor. You were my absolute favorite person growing up and I could not ask for a better set of grandparents than you and Poppop. I know you are better off where you are now but I’m going to miss all the messing with you and joking around with you and you telling me I’m out of the will everytime I would be “mean” to you. No matter what you had going on, you always knew how to make the room of people smile. Make sure you and Dad are cooking up a storm for all of us when we all met again and make sure Dad doesn’t mess with you too much. Until we meet again Mema, I love you and I will always cherish every memory I have with you for the rest of my life. Fly high Mema. God has received another precious Angel.💔🕊️

Mom thank you for so much for giving me, Danny, Debbie and Dayna so much love and everyday truths about life. You were just a kid yourself when I arrived and had to learn about life yourself. Looking back we all seem to realize just how honest, real and loving your everyday gifts to the family we’re. All those delicious meals you made and the love and laughter you brought to family and friends was so special. I’d drive to Caldwell to hang with friends. Someone would ask, what do we want to do tonight and someone would say, let’s go see Harry and Tree. That was due to you and dad welcoming anyone and everyone into your home and filling it with love and laughter. The Christmas’s Danny and myself would go to bed Christmas Eve with no tree no gifts no decorations and then awakening Christmas morning to a fully decorated tree a room full of gifts train around the tree. Truly magic. All in all I along with Danny, Debbie and Dayna want to say thank you for truly being a wonderful mom thank you for the love, laughter thank you for everything.

I don't even know where to begin to describe this unbelievable woman that I had the privilege to call my mother.......my softball coach, brownie leader, my dancing school costume maker and my voice of reason and wisdom.  She always welcomed me with love whenever I called or just dropped in...She created a home environment that was open to anyone and people loved to be in her presence....She was open minded, non-judgemental and loved all her children equally.......I will never forget all the things she told me and all the safety and security she provided as a parent. I will never be able to say goodbye to her because she is such a big part of me.  
Mom I love you so much ....more than I can even describe.....
Thank you for being that beautiful, strong and caring woman. I am so grateful  that I was lucky enough to be your daughter.

I hope that our Lord brings the family the much-needed peace during this sad time. I am honored and blessed to have cared for Therese as her hospice aide thru the VNA. She was a true blessing! I can't possibly begin to understand how you all are feeling or what you all must be going through at this time. But I want you to know I am thinking of you, and I’m always here for you, and will be a supportive friend in need when needed.
 Thinking of you and hoping there is sunshine in your life soon.
