Philip Gerard Ferraro Sr.

Philip Gerard Ferraro Sr, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Newark, NJ, and graduated from Barringer High School in 1950. After meeting and marrying the love of his life, Gloria, they relocated to Ocean County to raise their family.

Phillip was a family man and worked hard to provide for his wife and their seven children while graduating from Ocean County College with a degree in accounting in 1971. His primary career was working for Western Electric, and he was with the company for 30 years before retiring in 1981. Throughout the years, he worked as Maître D at Top O' the Mast in Seaside Park, had a janitorial business, was a real estate agent for Century 21, and later in his life, worked at a Senior Community Center in Whiting.

Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Ferraro. He is survived by his 7 Children- William and his wife Sharon, Deborah Snell and her husband Kevin, Marie Moskowitz, Gloria Lachenauer and her husband David, Philip Jr., Patrick and his wife Kelly and Jay and his wife Aimy and his "76" grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom he so proudly kept track of and boasted about.

Philip, or Pop as his grandchildren knew him, was a fantastic man, always full of life and laughter and a teller of many stories. He loved wine, the accordion, family trips in the Winnebago, and being Santa Clause for his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved his family. In the early days, when it was just Gloria, him, and the kids, they called themselves Snow White, Prince Charming, and the Seven Dwarfs. To quote Snow White, "I'm Sure I'll Get Along Somehow. Everything's Going To Be Alright." He will be deeply missed, but the memories of him will be cherished until we all meet again.

A visitation for Philip will be held Friday, April 21st, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A mass will occur Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, at 9:30 AM at St. Justin the Martyr Church, 975 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, NJ 08753. A burial will occur Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
