Margaret Reilly, 96, of Palm Beach Shores, Florida, and Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at Rose Garden Nursing Home in Toms River on October 8, 2018. She was born in Dumbarton, Scotland. That is where she met and married the love of her life, her late husband Thomas Reilly. They immigrated to the United States in 1947 and first settled in Detroit, Michigan. In 1959, they relocated to Brooklyn, New York, later moving to Florida. Margaret and Thomas traveled the world, yearly vacationing in Ireland and Scotland. Margaret was a wonderful and nurturing mother and grandmother. She was a devout catholic. She enjoyed Irish music, spending time with family and friends and was always up for a lively political debate.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Bridget McWilliams, her husband Thomas Reilly and her son Thomas Reilly. Margaret is survived by her son Anthony Reilly; her daughters Kathleen Kenny and Roseleen Flaherty; grandchildren: Jennifer Muscarello, Michael Flaherty, Jessica Taha, Dennis Kenny, Shannon Bliszcz, Megan Kenny, and Scot Reilly. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Kara Muscarello, Emma Flaherty, Jack and Sadie Taha, Jane Bliszcz and Saverio Catti, son-in-law Dennis; daughter-in-law Carolyn and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph RC Church, 685 Hooper Avenue in Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
