It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Louise C. Atkinson. She was 95. A life long resident of Elizabeth, she was born to Lina (Vett) and George Craig.
She was a loving sister to the late George Craig Jr. Louise attended St. Genevieve School and graduated from Battin High School. She worked for Standard Oil prior to marriage and children. Eventually she returned to work for the Elizabeth Board of Education payroll department of which she retired.
When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, reading and her dog. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Genevieves Church.
Louise is survived by her son Roger, daughter Lynda and her husband Walter; grandchildren Diana, Walter and his spouse Corey; great-grandchildren Willow and Forest.
Services will be private.
