Born in South Amboy, she resided in Cheesequake before settling in the Holiday City community of Berkeley in 1988.
Prior to retiring, Lorraine was a secretary at E.I. Dupont in Sayreville for 40 years. She was a longtime active member of the Ladies' Auxiliary in the Cheesequake Fire Department. Lorraine and her husband, Bill, enjoyed their retirement and spent most of their time travelling. They enjoyed going to reunions together and went to Bill's Army reunion every year.
She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" in 2004; and her siblings: Alice, Emily, Clayton, Harry, and Albert.
Surviving are her nephews and niece: Ted Matthews and his wife Barbara, Harry Herbert and his wife Karen, and Donna Carroll; a great-niece, Sybill; and many other great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10am-11:30m at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
