Lillian Alessi, 87, of Toms River passed away on Saturday January 26th, 2013 at Health South Rehabilitation in Toms River. Born to Frank and Mamie Carlisi in New York City she resided in Manhattan and Jackson Heights prior to moving to Berkeley Township in 1983. Lillian was a dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing Bingo. She had an open door policy and would always have friends and family over for coffee and cake on the front porch. She was also a member of the Holiday City West Italian American Club. She was predeceased by her loving husband Angelo and sister Millie Napolitano. Surviving are her sons Raymond Alessi and companion Marian Potucek of Little Neck, NY and Ronnie Alessi and companion Larry Lastra of Jackson, NJ, brothers Peter and Anna Carlisi of Toms River and Phillip Carlisi of Toms River, sister Phyllis Troisi of Wilmington, DE, grandchildren Cheryl and Donald Crotty of Commack, NY and Lori Alessi of Astoria, Queens and 2 great grandchildren Matthew and Michael Crotty. Visitation will be Monday January 28th, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Tuesday January 29th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 30th, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
