Kenneth G. Harms, 65, of Toms River, passed away on February 4, 2022 unexpectedly at home, surrounded by his immediate family & greatest gifts.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Terri, as well as his children: his daughter Samantha and son-in-law Richard Hutschneider, his daughter Stephanie, & light of his life granddaughter, Aubrielle Rose. He also leaves behind his sisters Patricia Pettesch, Jill Sandorse, and brother-in-laws Martin Pettesch & Robert Sandorse. He was blessed beyond belief to have his sister & brother-in-laws: Joseph & Teresa Genova, and Rosemary & Anthony DiBattista. In addition, his 10 adored nieces and nephews: Anthony, Adam, John, Eva, Anna, Joseph, Nina, Michael, Kyle & Brianna.
Ken was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Edward and Madeline Harms, and was raised in Kenilworth, NJ. Kenny lived his life with deep devotion to his wife and daughters, but the ultimate source of his happiness was found in his role as a grandfather, being ‘Papa’ to ‘Bree’. His source of fulfillment was his ‘circle of trust’, his closest friends, as well spending as much time as possible on the golf course.
Ken will be remembered adoringly for his amazing ‘Sunday Sauce’ and ‘Papa Meatballs’. Most importantly, he will be thought of with love because of the warm way he welcomed everyone into his home as if they were his own.
Viewing will be at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 from 4-8pm. Mass will be at St. Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth, NJ at on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11am with burial services to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River, NJ
