John P. Remeniski Sr.

John P. Remeniski Sr., age 81, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills surrounded by his loving family. Born in South Amboy, NJ John had lived in Fords and Woodbridge, NJ before retiring to Toms River 18 years ago. He was a Construction Engineer with the Middlesex Water Company in Woodbridge for 42 years retiring in 2005.

John loved watching all sports but most importantly his favorite team the NY Mets. He enjoyed crabbing, watching car shows and could fix just about anything. Spending time with his grandchildren was something he took great pride in. Their Memorial Day picnic was an annual gathering of family, friends, food and fun with John always at the grill.

John was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary and his daughter in law, Cheryl Remeniski in 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elaine and his children; Shelley Murphy, John Jr., and his grandchildren; Kelly LaPorta and her husband Donald, Ryan Murphy and his wife Alexandra, Kathryn Murphy and her boyfriend Tom Brauner, Andrew and his wife Cassidy, Adam and his girlfriend Olivia. Also surviving are John's two sisters; Mary Ann Parsons and her husband Ken, Joanne Chevelle and many loving sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews.

A visitation for John will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.

In Lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to St. Baldrick's Foundation.
