Ismael Ramos

November 22, 1936- May 6th, 2023

Ismael Ramos, age 86, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on May 6th, 2023.  Ismael lived in West Orange, Pine Beach and lastly Toms River, New Jersey. 

Ismael was a longtime parishioner of Saint Barnabas Catholic Church in Bayville.  He had a long and dedicated career at Schiffenhaus Manufacturing Company in Newark for 46 years. He was the beloved husband to Valerie, together for the last 67 years, married for 60 years.

Throughout their life together Izzy and Valerie were fortunate enough to travel the world.

He was a dedicated father to daughters Margie and Lisa and never missed a game, race, recital, concert or graduation.  He was a beloved grandfather to his one wonderful granddaughter Cara, to whom he was affectionately known as “Poppi”.  

He is survived by his wife Valerie, his daughters Margie and Lisa, Sons In Law Bruce and Michael, and granddaughter Cara.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass at Saint Barnabas Catholic Church 33 Woodland Road in Bayville NJ at 11am on Friday May 12th.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:30 at Manera’s Restaurant 950 Cedar Bridge Ave in Brick NJ.
