Charles P. Koch, 98, of Holiday Heights, (Berkeley Twp., NJ) passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Bronx, NY, Charles had lived in Saddlebrook, NJ until moving to Holiday Heights over thirty years ago. Charles was a WWII US Army Veteran who proudly served his country. He worked as a Photographer for Eastman Kodak, Fairlawn, NJ for over thirty five years and freelanced on the weekends doing photography for numerous occasions.
Charles was a life member of the Holiday Heights First Aid Squad, where he became the 1st and 2nd Lieutenant as well as the First Captain to the Squad as well. Charles was a State Certified EMT, Squad CPR Instructor, and a member of the NJ State First Aid Council. Charles also belonged to the Camera Club and enjoyed going to the VA facilities for Bingo.
Charles was predeceased by his wife Edith in 2006, and is survived by his three children; Karen Helschein and her husband Barry, Janice Kopec and her husband Edward and Gary Koch. Also surviving are Charles grandchildren; Corinne Eccher and her husband Stephen, Christopher Blakesley and his wife Daniela and his five great grandchildren; Jacob Eccher, Daniel Eccher, Eliana Eccher, Nicholas Blakesley and Emma Blakesley.
A Private Burial will take place Monday December 14, 2020 at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
