Cecelia P. Smith

Cecelia P. Smith, 95, of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away peacefully at Holiday Care Center, Berkeley Twp., NJ. Born in Irvington, NJ to the late Pietro and Vincenza (Jenny) Gennaro, Cecelia moved to the Toms River area over 40 years ago. She was a Manager for Investors Bank in Irvington, NJ.

Cecelia loved to cook, especially Italian dishes, was an expert seamstress, always kind, generous and always willing to help. She was extremely hard working. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.

Cecelia was predeceased by her husband Wilburt (Bill), and her siblings, Mary Lucy Gennaro Zinkwich (Alexander), Vincenzo (Jimmy) Gennaro (Helen Mistakis, Mary Ricatelli), Frances Gennaro Bischoff (Charles), Angelo Gennaro (Stella Baronowski), Luciano Gennaro (Jean Dugan), Rosario (Russ) Gennaro, Guiseppe (Joe) Pasquale Gennaro (Leora Ryder, Ermeline Kulbis), Gloria Gennaro Ahlers (John) and niece Virginia (Ginger) Gennaro James (David).

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and more than forty great nieces and nephews as well as a myriad of friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 10 am to 12 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ with funeral services to begin promptly at 11:30 am. Burial is to follow to the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
