Catherine H. Carolan

Catherine H. Carolan, 97, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Thursday Nov. 29, 2012 at home. Born in Avoca, PA, she was a lifetime resident of Newark, NJ until moving to Holiday City at Berkeley, Toms River in 1972. She was a former school guard at St. Columbus School in Newark. She was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Carolan in 1994 and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Carolan in 2011.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Carolan of Toms River; her son Robert Carolan of Toms River; three grandchildren, Lynn D’Amico and her husband Mike, Paul Carolan, Jr. , Greg Carolan and his partner Buffy; three great-grandchildren Michael D’Antico, London Campbell and Jacqueline Campbell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are Sunday December 2nd from 3 to 7 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Dec 3rd at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
