Brenda was born in Newark, NJ on June 28, 1939, to Edward and Winifred Confroy.
She attended Benedictine Academy High School and Newark State College. Brenda met the love of her life Bob while visiting her sister in Hawaii. They got married on the Island of Oahu at the Scoffield Barracks Chapel. They moved back to the states to Bloomfield, NJ to start a family. In 1968 Brenda and Bob moved their family to Toms River NJ.
Brenda was a member of the Junior Women’s Club in the 1970’s. She worked at the Ocean County Mall when it first opened.
Brenda enjoyed her many trips to Myrtle Beach with Bob. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Brenda was predeceased by parents Edward and Winifred Confroy, her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Arthur Davis, brother-in-law Paul Fitzpatrick and her daughter Lisa Mary.
Surviving is her loving husband Bob of 65 years; son Robert Jr. and wife Lisa of Barnegat; daughter Laura and husband Ken Jinotti Jr. Of Toms River; her grandchildren Victoria Jinotti and fiancé Anthony Amoresano, Olivia Jinotti, Mark Fitzpatrick and Matthew Fitzpatrick. Also surviving are her sister Edwina Fitzpatrick of Wicomico, VA and brother William Confroy and wife Jane of Halifax, VA.
Brenda had many friends, nieces and nephews that adored her, and always enjoyed her company.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4 to 8 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
The Fitzpatrick Family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Rose Garden Nursing Home for the compassionate care given to Brenda over the last 41/2 years.
