Bartolomeo Gallo

Bartolomeo (Bart aka Benny) C. Gallo, 96, of Westerville, OH, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2020. Born in Newark NJ, he lived in Union, NJ for 36 years before moving to the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township in 1987. Bart was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WW II. He was a self-employed painter/wall paper hanger. He formerly was very active in Catholic Charities, Holiday City Clubhouse and was on the Board of Trustees.

Bart was predeceased by his wife Bessie, grandson Eric Nebenzahl, parents Fortunato and Maria Gallo, sisters Vicky Chisholm and Anita Gallo. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Warren) Harter, Elaine Gallo, granddaughter Caryn (Matt) Morgan and great grandchildren Sophia, Claire and Jack Morgan. Also survived by brothers Reynold Gallo and Fred (Pennie) Gallo, sister Eva (Frank) Masterson and sister-in-law Ann Caprio as well as nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Lori Pensis and the dedicated staff at Westerville Senior Living memory care unit for their loving attention. Also, friends Peggy Waggoner, Jo Ann Noll and Beckie Knore. Family will receive friends Monday February 17, 2020 from 2-4 pm with a funeral service at 3:30 PM. Burial will be private at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family by visiting www.quinn-hoppingfh.com.
