Audrey I. Murin

On Thursday December 12, 2024, Audrey Murin passed away, peacefully at the age of 93. She had many friends, and relatives, who loved her dearly. Audrey was born to Alois and Freida Sautter on April 13, 1931, in Newark, NJ and remained a New Jersey resident throughout her life. She first attended Abraham Clark Township Public School and then went to Jonathan Dayton Regional High School, in Springfield, NJ, where she graduated in 1950.

Audrey Sautter met Andrew Murin and then Married at St. Michaels Church, Elizabeth NJ, September 4,1954. remaining happily married for 70 years and marking the celebration of their 50th Anniversary among loved ones. She was a wonderful wife and mother and was always there for her family.

She and Andrew raised two children, MaryAnn (Murin) Gelormini and their son Edward who look back fondly at family trips Audrey had planned in order to provide a life of childhood memories.

Audrey worked in Westfield as a receptionist and then, when she moved to Toms River. volunteered at Community Medical Center Toms River. She was known for her love of animals, her pets, knitting, crafts, and reading books from the library.

She is survived by her son Edward and his wife Sue and her daughter MaryAnn Gelormini, preceded in death by her son-in-law Frank. Audrey was blessed with three grandchildren, Frank Gelormini and his wife Lindsey, Dana (Gelormini) Tabone and her husband Joe and Nicole Murin, who recently graduated college. Audrey also had three Great grandchildren that she cherished with all her heart: Francesco and Adrianna Tabone, and Aspen Gelormini.

She will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness, helping others, and will be dearly missed. Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. A funeral liturgy service will be held on Wednesday at St Maximilian Kolbe Parish at 10:00 then followed to St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia NJ.
