Our beautiful mother, Vera Jane Tudor (Pritchard) left this earth to enter into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 4:26pm on Sunday, November 19th. Her daughter, Terrie, was by her side as she peacefully departed. Born in Mt. Braddock, Pennsylvania, on September 16, 1927, she was the eldest of four daughters. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her three sisters Jesse, Merne, and Wilma, her husband, Richard Wayne Tudor, and her oldest daughter, Linda Soares. Vera just celebrated her 96th birthday before passing. After her birth, the family relocated to Connellsville, Pennsylvania, where she grew up in the family home and then married Richard Wayne Tudor. Vera gave birth to Richard Lee, Linda Susan, and Alan Wayne (1947, 1948, and 1949 consecutively). Our mother worked at a couple of jobs including Anchor Hocking Glass Company. Together, the family moved across several different states, including Florida, before finally settling in Santa Ana, California. It was there that they had their fourth child, Terrie Jane (1963). They moved to Garden Grove, CA in 1972, and then retired in Calimesa, CA. Upon the death of her husband, she moved to Phoenix, AZ to be closer to her children. Almost 8 years ago, she entered a memory care facility in Peoria, AZ and remained there until her passing. She is survived by her oldest son, Richard Lee, her younger son, Alan Wayne, and her youngest daughter, Terrie Jane. Among her other survivors are 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Your memories and reflections on the special moments lived together are a gift to everyone who loves her. From the smallest interactions to the biggest adventures, add your memories here so we can all celebrate Vera's life for years to come. The family will gather these memories together, along with photos from her life, and create a booklet for those who would like to have a printed version. If you'd prefer to share your text or photo memory via email, send it to [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation to the Alzheimer's Association be made in Vera's name.
