Mary Anna Tosh passed away at 61 years old at Chandler Regional Medical Center on October 4, 2023. She was born August 23, 1962, and was raised by her Catholic family on the west side of Phoenix, Arizona in a community named Maryvale. Most of her life she fought a long painful battle with an autoimmune disease which contributed to her succumbing to Lymphoma cancer.
Mary started her career working concessions at the Palms Theater where she met her first husband. She then became a homemaker and entrepreneur operating a very successful nail salon out of the comfort of her home while raising her first two sons. After many years of touching people's lives with her hand painted nail designs, her entrepreneurial and artistic spirit needed a new challenge, so she went to school to become a permanent makeup artist. She started the next chapter of her life with a new career and began raising her next two children with the father of her daughter and youngest son.
She spent the remainder of her life traveling as a permanent makeup artist and instructor, bringing confidence to her many clients with her elegant touch and vast knowledge. She had clients who became close friends all over the United States, and often traveled to places like Alabama, Oregon, and Michigan. In her free time she taught Catechism at her church, and she spent every spare moment she could with her grandbabies. She also had a special love for her many animals.
Her friends and family agree she had a beautiful, unique, and loving soul. She enjoyed helping people and animals in any way she could. “She was the type of person who would spark up a conversation with someone at the local fast-food restaurant, and if she heard of a way she could help, she would,” said her daughter Reyna. Her hobbies included antique-collecting, painting, and restoring items through her crafty ways. She loved finding antiques and gifts that she felt suited someone she loved.
Mary leaves behind her four grown children (John Christopher, Royal Austin, Reyna, and Rosario), and four grandchildren (James, Colin, June, and Cruz), two sisters (Roxanne and Rhona), three brothers (Dewey, Mike, and Karl), and her father (Royal Patrick Wagner).
A Memorial will be held on October 21st, 2023. For details, please contact her daughter Reyna.
