Diane Elcock was born on March 20", 1955. in Inkster Michigan to late Margie Ree Wills and Paul Wimberly Sr. Her parents brought her home on Klink in Lemoyne Gardens (Inkster). She grew up as a tough little girl. Her mother use to call her "Cookie." She was the eldest of four children: Paul and (Donna)Wimberly Jr, Jerry Wimberly (Shalla), and Stacy and (Dominic) Swasey Sr. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Second Baptist (Inkster) and later became Cathedral of Faith (Inkster). Diane graduated from Hamilton J. Robichaud HS in 1973. She was a Varsity Cheerleader, named Homecoming Queen, and active in many other school groups. She was proud to be a Bulldog. Later, she married one of her best friends in Holy Matrimony to Nathaniel O Elcock Sr on October 15, 1979. She was told she could not have children, but God blessed her with a set of twins on December 29,1980, a boy and a girl. Diane enjoyed being active in her community. She became a member of Sister Circle at Amity Baptist Church, volunteered in local politics, and worked as dispatcher for Inkster Police Dept. She was always a go-getter, she would have different side hustles and hobbies going on to find her passion. In 2008 she decided to live in Phoenix, Arizona after one visit, she worked in customer service for a few years and retired. She began her "Simply Adoring 5" jewelry consultant hobby. Selling jewelry was her passion. Also, she enjoyed being a "Nana", her grandbabies couldn't do no wrong, she was their "Johnny Cochran", She stated that her family is her Legacy. Who knew that her family would grow abundantly after being told she could not have children. A Blessing on Saturday, July 8", 2023, she received her wings at Banner Estrella Hospital. Leaving her husband Nathaniel Elcock Sr., daughter Candace and (Mark) Nichols, Nathaniel and (Jerisha) Elcock II, grands Tarin (Kassy), Melvin, Ethan Cameron, Zoe, Jeon (Amaya), Jashara, Jade, Alondra. Two great-grands, Omari and Jakari, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
