To start, I want to say first that sister Karen meant so, so, so much to me. Many, if not all of my childhood memories are of her. She was amazing. When I was younger I thought she was the coolest, most awesome person in the world. I remember arguing with Shiloh sometimes about who would get to sit next to her on Wednesday night services. Sunday school with her was always so great. My cousins and I always wanted to go sing her a song after Sunday School because one time we did and she let us all get something from the "prize box", which was a box she kept full of small toys and similar things.  She always made a cake whenever someone in the class had a birthday.  Then there were the easter egg hunts she had for the class and the snacks.  However, I can't write this not without including the sleepovers. Oh my goodness, those were so fun. I remember one time when I was really little we went to her house and she had gotten us these new Dora pajamas, I was so excited about it.  Then we had a bubble bath and we went into Brother Steve's music room.  Then finally when it was time for us to go to bed, we all knelt and prayed together, Shiloh, me, and Sister Karen. I remember I wanted to be just like her when I grew up.  I still want to be an example to other people like she was to me. The next day she made these pancakes, and they were all stacked on top of each other and I thought that was so cool.  We went to see a movie and then she took us to the dollar store and said we could each buy five things. I thought she was just about the coolest person in the entire world. I am probably mixing up several times we went over to her house,  but one thing I am sure of is that I never wanted to leave.  I have so many memories of her, going to Chick-fil-A,  her picking us up to go to her house, her laugh, her smile. I wish I could tell her in person that she meant the world to me, but I think she knows.  I'm looking forward to catching up with her when I see her again in Heaven!

The main thing I remember about Sister Karen was being in Sunday school. I remember going up to her when I was 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 young and asking if I could join Sunday school early because of all the fun my older sisters said they were having. She told me to wait until I was three, and I couldn't wait! I was not disappointed when I joined the class. About ten years ago, when I was in Sunday school, Sis. Karen would make things fun. She would have games and puzzles ready for all of us kids, and I always looked forward to Sundays just because of her. I especially remember her prize box, a box full of toys that Sis. Karen had for the winner of contests we would sometimes have. Even though I probably never won, she always let me pick a prize out of the box. I also remember that one time Sis. Karen made brownies for the whole class. I will still say those were the best brownies I have ever had. Needless to say, she was a great teacher, and she will be missed. However, even though Sister Karen may be gone from the world, I know she will forever live in our hearts and memories.

Karen’s friendship  was truly a gift from God to me and I will always treasure the 41 years that I called her friend! She truly was my friend, my sister, my therapist… And so much more! I have so many memories over the years that I could not even think to share just one… We have laughed and cried together so many times throughout the years… we really and truly understood each other‘s trials and pains that we went through and could share with each other. It’s not very often that the Lord blesses you with a husband and wife couple that love you as much as you love them… We so always enjoyed our time with them together or separately. I will forever miss my yearly visits and all our adventures we would do… Or simply just sitting around the kitchen table laughing and talking! You will be forever missed my dearest friend… I will look forward to seeing you on the other side!

I remember when my son got in trouble and Sis. Karen and Bro. Stephen came to our home and prayed with us. It really meant the world to me. That is something I will never forget and I’ll always be grateful and thankful because it really Blessed my Heart. I Love you  always and Forever.  Rest in Paradise Sis. Karen. 🙏🏽❤️

I will never forget Sister Karen’s hysterical and contagious laugh. She definitely knew how to express it “Big” when something was funny.  She will for sure be missed in this life, but I’m looking forward to seeing her soon. I’m sure her and Debbie are rejoicing together! We love you Bro Steve, Stephanie, and Jonathan. There are so many memories, it’s hard to leave just one! My heart is broken from her passing but I know we’ll see her again soon and  the  joy n laughter  will continue!  She had such a welcoming spirit n was always the perfect host. I could be myself n share anything with her.  She  truly understood!  Meeting in Fla. The trip to NY, thrift store shopping,  the picnic where  l learned how to make the best corn ever  were  all wonderful times I can never forget!!  We love the Propalis family!!  You’ll always be in our prayers!  She was so special to us.  Our world will be darker w/o  her  shining light.

We miss you tremendously. It’s not going to be the same coming home to visit without your big smile ready to greet me. You always supported me throughout all of my highs and low in life and for that I’m so grateful. As a kid I would get so excited when you made the fruity pebble rice crispy treats and you’d always let me eat as many M&M’s as I wanted out of the M&M dispenser on your kitchen counter. I’ll forever cherish our time together. Please watch over us as I already know you are. Love you always. A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

I will always remember Karen, her smile her laugher and her voice as I have every day of my life since we were best friends since our teenage days. Even though we went our separate ways once we got married she was AWAYS with me in heart and thoughts and will be forever.

My Dear Brother Stephen and Family,
 While I have never met you, I have heard plenty of wonderful things about all of you, and The Wonderful Church Family. I am Pretty close to Brother Jimmy Pinkston, and Sister Gina, and when I heard from them, I knew beyond question that even though Sister Karen has stepped into That Beautiful Place where there will be no more Pain, or Suffering, Sister Gina, and Brother Jimmy had broken Hearts. Brother Jim Pinkston told me so much about you, and how much He, and His Family, Loved You, and Your Extended Family. At a time like this it is so good to know that Sister Karen is suffering no more. Somehow that doesn't stop The Tears from flowing from those left behind, but "Tears are a Language that God Understands". Brother Stephen, may God continue to Watch over You, and all that Loved Sister Karen, and Comfort you. Thank God that we have been taught that All We Loved Here, will be there.

We had such fun cousin trips with Karen! Will miss her greatly!

Karen not just a cousin but like my sister. We were married young and so we would go to the grocery store. We would say lets eat cheap so we can shop for clothes and shoes. So we were big shoppers but we always got bargains. We would get things so cheap and say who cares if it just hangs in closet for that price. When we stopped for dessert she asked if we wanted to share. I said sure her not knowing Greeley's eat fast. She puts on fork down and I thought that was the go for me to finish it. She goes home and tells Stephen never share a dessert with Julie. We were shopping in Timonium and went to a favorite consignment shop to find that it went out of business. We were really bummed. In the mean time we run into a lady that just lost her nephew to murder. Karen said can we pray for you! This lady was just so blessed that we did that. I will forever love my cousin/sister

I never had the privilege of meeting Sister Karen but heard such wonderful things through my sister Lois Tackett about her and also how gracious sister Karen and  Br Steven were to my Lois during the time she and Michael were stationed in Baltimore and attended church. Thank you for being so kind. Lois has also been called home to be with our Lord so I suppose her and sister Karen are meeting once again but this time for eternity. We praise God for the life of sister Karen Propalis. She was one of God's holy daughters. Karen's life was an example of the believer - like what Paul wrote about in Titus 2:3-5. And she leaves good footprints behind her.

Upon meeting Sister Karen here in Wichita, Kansas at our Memorial May Meetings years and years ago my first  thought was I feel like I’ve known you all my life!!! Then after talking to her over the years I saw such beauty in her heart and that precious love she had for Gods Word and His people, always going that extra mile to be kind and loving!!! She would ask me what I was making for the meetings and always told me that she could feel the love in my food, it won’t be same here without you my sister and friend but I know God had greater plans for you!!! So go rest high on that mountain and as promised I will watch over Stephanie and Jonathan!!! To a beautiful soul inside and out.  If you ever met Karen she always made you feel like the most special person ever.  We met Stephen and Karen about 25 yrs ago and became good friends over the yrs.  My memory goes back to 20 yrs ago our family went to visit them from Ont. Canada (12 hrs drive).  We stayed 2-3 days, drove home to go to a cabin up north only to find out is got cancelled.  The their amazement, we re-packed our car and headed by to the Propalis home to stay for a few more days.  They took us to a Park on the water and we had a B-B-Q dinner which was THE BEST.  They are just the most hospitable  family EVER.  Love you all...Melvin & Gina

I was age 11 when we met the Heist family.  Karen was age 3.  Our families quickly bonded together in a lasting friendship as we were introduced to the Message of the Hour.  Carolyn was a newborn, Brenda was age 2 and Darlene was age 5.  I became like a big brother especially to Darlene and Karen.  I walked Darlene and Karen to Herring Run Park to push them on the swings.  Down Ocean City, I held their hands in the ocean water, took them on the amusement rides while we walked the boardwalk.  Then, Karen had to have her spleen removed in surgery.  After surgery, while still recuperating, one church night at the Eastpoint Church, I carried her up the steps into the sanctuary as she couldn't climb steps yet.    Many childhood and young adult memories . . .  We plan to see you soon Karen, your earthly pain and suffering are over!  Rev. 20:6 - "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."  

We will forever cherish the wonderful times we've spent together with you, Karen and your family. At this time of heaviness, we still can only smile when we think of her, a beautiful reflection of the bride of Christ on earth, now to be manifested in perfection eternally. We love you Stephen, and our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. ❤️

I am so sorry for your loss but surely heavens gain. Sister  Karen was a real example of a Christian lived life. I always felt welcomed in their home when I stay with brother Steve and sister Karen . She was a great hosts . I am so glad that In God’s family there is no goodbyes there is just  till we meet again.
