She was born in Marion, NC on February 18, 1932. She moved to Maryland as a child and grew up in the Dundalk, MD area. She met Charlie Hagwood in 1952 and they married in October 1953. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in October 2023. She loved to garden, sew, quilt and read. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed caring for her husband and children. She was a volunteer at the Sheppard Pratt hospital for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Hagwood, daughter, Beth Hagwood Bond and husband Thomas Bond, grandchildren Taylor C. Bond, Matthew T. Bond, Abigail R. Bond, great grandchildren Lillian Bond and Brenden Bond, daughter Penny Hagwood Grieci and husband Corrado Grieci, grandchildren Isabella Grieci, Nathaniel Grieci, Elizabeth Grieci and Meredith Grieci. She also has many nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.
She will be laid to rest at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Sheppard Pratt hospital in her name.
