Still in disbelief. I had the pleasure of working with Amy during her tenure at EA. She was tireless, with an undeniable energy and light... a fitting memory on this Easter Sunday.  It's impossible to envision our EA family without her. 

My heart is heavy with loss of such a wonderful person. I was Amy's client and I like to think also my friend. She was a warm and caring person. Quick to offer help, advice and empathy to those around her. And so fun to hang out with.  I greatly respected her drive getting a bachelor's degree and becoming a fabulous Engineer.   Her strong technical and analytical gifts were well known and widely respected by her colleagues and customers.  She stood by her decisions, was a tenacious debater and didn't shy away telling her colleagues and clients the hard truth when they needed it. She could always find common ground.  Everyone "Wanted Amy" on their Team.  I still want her on my Team and I will miss her so very much.

Amy and I worked together years ago at EA.  We experienced working in full blown Level C together for many months in the summer heat.  She was an amazing Engineer that I looked up to and a wonderful friend.  We spent many long hours together in the field and even fit in some time  enjoying some classes together and spending money on unique and lovely plants.  We exchanged gardening stories in which others would find boring.  I miss her dearly.   She was one of kind and I will always cherish the memories.

To Amy's family - I am so very sorry for your loss. Amy was a wonderful person and her passing is a reminder to me that life simply is not fair at times when such a kind, smart, and loving person is taken from us too soon.  I hope you are all able to pause and feel her arms around you when you need her the most.  She gave great hugs and always offered optimistic encouragement.  I knew Amy the entire 22 years I have been at EA. I am finding it so incredibly hard getting used to the idea that she had to leave us - and that she's not just "in the field today" or "working from home today".  We'd find the humor in work & in life by sharing stories over lunch.  I will keep her smile and laugh in my mind always. I am going to miss so many things about Amy personally and professionally, but most of all I will miss her truly caring soul. She was a one of a kind wonderful person. May she rest in peace. 

Sending so much love to Amy's family,  Amy will be so missed at EA.  I have worked with Amy for 20 years and she was a friend and colleague and ever-present smile in everything we did together.  She was a mentor, friend, cheerleader, and constant (brilliant!) positive force of energy for so many of us.  My heart is broken that I won't hear her wonderfully boisterous laugh in the office again but it will always-always remain in my memory with a smile.

I’m still in disbelief this happened. We just enjoyed lunch with you Sunday. You were the best mother in law someone could ask for. You were polite, funny, generous and extra support for the good and bad times. You raised an amazing young man and I promise to take care of him for you forever. 

Still in disbelief how this could happen.  Love Amy's continuous smile and happiness she gave to so many.  Hugs and prayers to all who feel her sudden loss.  She was taken from us way too soon.  Hugs to Rob during this very difficult time.  Love you!  Kim & Keith

I am so so truly sorry for the loss of Amy. I had the privilege of working with her at EA. She always had a smile on her face, and always was wonderful to work with, willing to help, and kind! Sending love and prayers to her family. Amy will be remembered, and her light in the office will be truly missed. 

I really enjoyed working with Amy.  She was joyful and brought a lot of energy.  She was so smart and was a great advocate for her ideas and she also listened to different ideas and never belittled others.  I will miss her.  I wish peace and serenity for her family and friends in this difficult time.

I feel so sad. It has been years since I have seen Amy Jo,  but I will cherish  my decades of knowing her forever. She was my first sister-in-law, but our relationship eventually morphed into sisterhood, She'd let me drive her camaro, helped me budget a way I could live on my own when I was just a teenager, and we both binged on marshmallow peeps. She was my bridesmaid when I got married and was there for me when it all fell apart.  She introduced me to irish cream coffee creamer,  and we had many hours of conversation on her back porch drinking coffee.  I remember when Amy first started her chemical engineering degree, and from the messages here, I am not surprised  at what a success she became. 

I am not sure why Amy had to go, but she will be missed by all. I wish peace and comfort to those who were closest to her.

So very sorry for your loss.  She was such a lovely person and by giving herself to others has helped so many to enjoy living.  She will be missed.

My condolences,

I worked with Amy on a complex project. She knew how to lead a team, organize a project, and explain complicated issues. It's a sad day when you find out that the sector lost someone who was leading the way and who made such a difference. 

I only knew Amy for 15 years during which she shared her sharp mind, sense of humor, humanity and dedication to honest work.  Amy made the world better.  Sincere condolences to all who knew Amy and were blessed by that relationship - family and friends, including her colleagues.  I was a colleague but considered Amy a friend.  

I worked with Amy in a professional setting, and she was always such a joy to work with. I never heard an unkind word from her. She was the type of person who made it a pleasure to come to work.

The Hughes family is heartbroken and sends condolences, prayers, and love to all of Amy's friends and family. There are never words for this, just feelings. 

Amy was deftly able to manage strong, opposing, personalities within teams while further managing external stressors - with kindness, understanding, grace, and a delicate firmness that guided us all together. She listened without agenda, taught without preaching, and debated without anger. I have learned a great deal and I will miss you... we will all miss you.
