Ronald Kenneth Minor

Ronald K. Minor of Tualatin, Oregon, passed away from congestive heart failure on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland. He was born March 10, 1940 in Bolton (West Linn), Oregon, to Kenneth Minor and Pearl Roberts Minor.

Ron graduated from Oregon City High School in 1958 and served in the Marine Corp until 1962. Over the years he worked for B P Johns, the Oregon Humane Society and finally the State of Oregon in the Motor Pool. Ron loved traveling and enjoyed the outdoors, music, art and photography. He played the guitar and had his own western band for several years. All forms of art came naturally to Ron, including watercolors, acrylics, oils, charcoal, woodburning, etc. After many years of camping and weekends at the beach, he expanded his travels to include other areas of the country and Canada, and particularly enjoyed cruises.

Ron loved his family and is survived by Jeanne Burgess, his sweetheart of 14 years and his sisters, Katie Pearson and Leeta Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Willamette National Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Conference Center at Crossroads Church, 2505 NE 102nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97220.
