Born in West Seattle, WA, Mike was an adventurous spirit, full of life and always willing to take the road less traveled. Born in Seattle, Washington his family relocated to Corvallis, Oregon for much of his childhood before moving to Boulder, Colorado where he graduated from Fairview High School in 1976. Soon after he and his family made the move to Portland, Oregon. Mike enrolled at Oregon State University where he graduated with his Bachelor's degree in 1981. He was a loving father to three amazing sons, Scott, Brian and Grayson and was a friend to all, often generous to a fault.
Mike built a career in the insurance and brokerage industry while also pursuing several entrepreneurial ventures throughout his life. He was an avid athlete and particularly loved golf, skiing and baseball, often times spending hours playing catch with all three of his sons. In fact he was the #1 fan of Grayson's baseball team, the West Linn Lions, while always taking an active role in team activities both on and off the field. During his time in Colorado he would often be found on the ski slopes, combining his high spirit of adventure with his affinity for the great outdoors. He also translated his love for the outdoors into a passion for gardening and was especially proud of his hydrangeas.
Mike is survived by his three sons, Scott, Brian and Grayson along with his parents, Harry & Bonnie Reeder and his brother, Dean Reeder. Mike will be remembered for his huge heart, generosity and love of his family and friends.
