Jane married Henry H. Gebhardt on May 27, 1945. They shared 71 years together in Portland Oregon and Leavenworth Washington. They had a long, happy marriage, filled with lots of work at the Gebhardt’s Bakery but also loved dancing, music, travel, cruising, and other adventures.
She worked in the Oregon shipyards as a bookkeeper in the welding department during WWII. She also worked in Krauss Trimmings Company & Gebhardt’s Konditorei was co-owners.
Jane loved her church work. A great deal of her life she taught Sunday school and did nursing home visitation.
Jane and Henry had 3 children; Diane, Judith and Robert. They also had 2 granddaughters, Amanda and Rachel. She also had 2 great grandsons and multiple nieces and nephews.
