Antanita "Ann" Jo Fortune

Ann was born in Portland, Oregon. She is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Fortune, her son, Joseph "Joe" Fortune, and her brother Donald Larsen. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Shrode; and her son Donald "Don" Fortune. She is additionally survived by her grandchildren, Melanie Shrode, Brian Shrode, William "Will" Fortune II; her siblings, Iris Russell and Leonard Larsen; and her great-grandchildren, Mary Fortune and Avery Fortune.

Ann grew up in Sherwood, Oregon and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1957. She married Bill in 1961 and they resided in the Tigard/Tualitin area, where they raised their 3 children. They moved their family to Lincoln City, Oregon where they owned a successful video store in the 1980s and 1990s. Ann and Bill enjoyed working together, going on camping trips with their family, and hosting family and friends in their home.

Ann was very good at many card games, and the couple often hosted friends for card games. Ann was a consummate cook, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She also enjoyed reading, thrifting, and bowling. She and Bill also enjoyed boating and would treat family and friends with days of water sports, tubing and whatever other adventures awaited!

Ann was a beloved mother and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and would do anything for them. Her life of love and joy will be missed by all who knew and loved her; most especially by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
