Willie Mae Hall, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, was 86 years young and passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on October 30, 1937 in Orlando, Oklahoma to the late William Surber and Tressie (Henderson) Surber.
Willie Mae grew up and attended school in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1955. She married her first husband, Utah Pepin on June 17, 1956. They brought four wonderful children into their family when they had Carolyn, Frank, Ronald, and Debra. She and Utah later divorced in 1979. She married her second husband, Richard Hall on July 18, 1982.
After raising her children, Willie Mae worked a few different jobs which included AT&T and Home Depot. She retired from Home Depot when she moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 2014.
One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren. She loved watching and spoiling them as they grew. Visiting with extended family was also something she enjoyed. She loved her many dogs over the years. Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, crocheting, and cooking. She also enjoyed Disney movies, Elvis’s movies, the Denver Broncos and Hallmark movies.
Willie Mae is survived by a large family that includes her loving sister Ellen Lett of Rockwall, Texas; her loving children Carolyn (Kevin) Coursey of Broomfield, Colorado, Frank Pepin of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Debra Garrison of Grand Prairie, Texas, and daughter in-law Michelle Pepin of Sierra Vista, Arizona; precious grandchildren, Derek Mauler (Cathy) of Greenbush, Michigan, Tessia Schisler of Westminster, Colorado, Blake Garrison of Garland, Texas, Christin Garrison of Grand Prairie, Texas, Theresa (Terri) Walsh (Sean) of Freeport, Florida and great grandchildren Sean and Brianna Mauler, Patrick, Raymond and Sarah Walsh; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hall, brother, Eldred Surber, son, Ronald Pepin, son-in-law, Michael Garrison, granddaughter, Chelsea Pepin, grandson, David Stern.
The funeral will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery located at 10201 Grant Street Thornton, CO 80229. We will start with a visitation from 10:00am – 11:00am, the service with be from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Chapel, the burial will be at 12:30pm, a reception will be from 1:00pm – 3:00pm in the room adjacent to the Chapel at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery.
