Stephanie Renee Haines

Stephanie Renee Haines, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and teacher, passed away at home on August 1, 2023 in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born March 29, 1981 in Council Bluffs, IA to Keith and Jeri (Culver) Haines.

Stephanie grew up and attended schools in the Arvada area. She graduated from Arvada West High School in 1999 and from Metro Stated College in 2005. After graduation she worked in early childhood education at various locations, most recently Peiffer Elementary. She was very passionate about her “babies” and loved telling stories about her interactions with them.

Stephanie lived a simple life of living or vacationing in the mountains with Anthony and her cats, had an odd love affair with geese, and loved to read. She held two mottos close to heart: Don’t judge, Just love; The power of positive thinking.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her father Keith; she is survived by her mother Jeri; siblings Nicole Jackson (Mitchell) and Brandon; nephews Kaleb and Sam; nieces Mackenzey and Natalie; long time boyfriend Anthony Cefalo.

Services will take place Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11:00am-12:00pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow 12:30pm-2:30pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Stephanie was cremated and will be placed at Fairview Cemetery in Treynor, IA with her parents at a later date.
