Shirley A. Livermore

Shirley was born June 27th, 1938 in Springerville, Arizona, then adopted in 1940 by the late Andrew and Daisy Woods. Shirley graduated from Springerville H.S. and attended business school in Phoenix.

She married the late Lin Livermore on December 28th, 1958. Together, Shirley and Lin traveled the United States together moving over 100 times due to Lin’s work, until finally settling in the Denver area. Shirley and Lin were married for 57 years only to be separated by Lin’s passing in 2015.

Shirley dedicated her life to serving young children and their families through her in-home daycare as well as caring for her grandchildren. Shirley was fiercely loyal to and loved her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her sister Billie Jean Camp, daughter Tracy Smith (David), daughter Joyce Kissel (Gary), son Andy Livermore (Mimi), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Journey of Faith United Methodist Church 1200 El Paso Blvd. Denver, Colorado 80221 on January 5th at 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM reception to follow – location TBD. Shirley has asked that in lieu of flowers to please donate to Journey of Faith United Methodist Church, the Humane Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
