Presciliano Joe Herrera of Northglenn, Colorado passed away on Thursday the 5th of December 2024 at the age of 87. He was born on July 14th, 1937, in Durango where he grew up. He worked as an Employment Agent for Job Corps of Colorado for 28 years and retired at the age of 60. He was very independent and still drove himself around for everyday errands and to his beloved Bingo. He was preceded in death by his partner Marvin Huff. He is survived by three children: Mark Herrera, Marcella Herrera, and Howard Herrera, and sister Vicki Rubalcaba. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Lutheran Hospital and Staff for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
A visitation for Presciliano will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. A rosary will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
