Mary Elizabeth McMurphy, widow of Hugh (Ted) McMurphy received her angel wings on November 7, 2024, after a long battle with Dementia. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home at Northglenn Heights Memory Care in Thornton, Colorado, surrounded by family.
Mary was a social butterfly known for her kindness, adventurous spirit, positive outlook, and creative talents. She loved traveling, making blankets, crafting, creating Bunka embroidery, and crocheting “scrubbies.” Mary will be dearly missed. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
Mary is survived by her five daughters, Marilyn McCroskey, Marie McMurphy aka Penny, MaryAnne McMurphy, Michelle McMurphy, Melissa McMurphy, sons-in-law Greg and Tim, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date, to be determined.
