Lee graduated from Erie High School, class of 1959. Following graduation, he worked in accounting for the federal government. He later was the Deputy Assessor for Jefferson County. Lee held other side jobs including owning a chicken farm, farming, and owned a construction company. He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Milano, and they eventually settled in Erie. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and were best friends for over 65 years. They raised two children, Renee Loewen and Chris Baker.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Paul, Alex, Dorothy and Bob. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his daughter Renee (Dennis) and son, Chris (Jennifer). Lee fiercely loved his grandkids: Amanda, Andre, Alyssa and Aidan, and his great-grandkids, Ivie and Charlotte.
Anyone who knew Lee, knows he had an amazing work ethic and was always talking about numbers. Lee had a great sense of humor and liked to joke with people. Last week, Nancy was putting Lee’s glasses on him, and he said “Boo” to make her jump. It worked. Lee was devoted to his family and spent his entire life taking care of them. Lee’s favorite pastime was talking about his kids and grandkids. Lee also enjoyed golfing, relaxing at his cabin, and enjoying his time in Arizona.
