Katherine Lee Mullins of Thornton, Colorado passed away September 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was born October 2, 1964 in Montrose, Colorado to Alan and Sarah (Richmond) Wimer. She worked in the school system for several years assisting the teachers and working closely with children. She loved the children and was well respected and admired in that community. She is survived by her husband, son and many other relatives and friends. Katherine will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 7pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katherine's honor to the American Cancer Foundation, National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or the Pediatric AIDS foundation.
