She was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts on March 24, 1948 to William and Ogla Daley, spending her earlier life living in Boston, Massachusetts. She and her husband moved to Colorado in 1976, where she spent the reminder of her life
In early 1966, Johanna met her soul mate, Robert Marshall, and the two have been inseparable ever since. They married on October 1, 1966, and just celebrated their 55th wedding Anniversary this year. There is no Bob without Johanna; there is no Johanna without Bob. Their marriage and love are considered the “gold standard” reflection of husband and wife. Side by side, they both raised generations of children, creating a loving and caring home for their family.
She was the most selfless person you could meet, sacrificing her own life so her grandchildren could flourish and have a wonderful upbringing. Life wasn’t always easy, but she found the silver lining and no matter what always had smile on her face.
She celebrated every moment and occasion to the fullest, making long lasting memories. Johanna showed love, patience, understanding, acceptance, and kindness to everyone she met. She was always up to listen to music, singing karaoke, and dance like no one is watching, sharing stories, laughs and drinks with family and friends. She loved her country, her friends at the American Legion and VFW and the New England Patriots. The smell of lilacs and rain brought her joy, as well as cuddles from her pets.
She is irreplaceable and will leave us with a smile on our face and a warm hug around our hearts. It’s never goodbye; It’s I’ll see you soon!!
Survived by her Husband, Robert Marshall; her daughter; her grandchildren, Alycia Marshall-Henderson, Charlene Stewart, and Timothy Smith (predeceased July 28, 2017); and her great grandchildren, Tyler Stewart and Alton Henderson Jr.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.olingerhighland.com for the Marshall family.
