Gertrude Spanarella

Gertrude Edythe (Bradbury) Spanarella 91 of Westminster, Colorado passed away May 2, 2015. She was born September 20, 1923 in Milliken, Colorado and was raised in Edgewater, Colorado. She married Anthony (Tony) J. Spanarella Sr. in Denver, Colorado on December 31, 1941. The family moved to Westminster in 1951 where they raised their four children. They were married for 35 years when Tony passed away suddenly in 1977.

Gert is survived by her brother Jack Bradbury: her sons Gary (Christie) Spanarella, Ken (Janet) Spanarella and daughter Anita Spanarella; her eight grandchildren: Lisa Baskall (David Stewart), Mary Baskall (Robert Marquez), Gina Baskall (Michelle Massoni), Carol Spanarella, Joseph (Jessica) Spanarella, Michael (Heather) Spanarella, Shannon (Vince) Falbo, and Heather (Mike) Hoover and her six great-grandchildren Robert Martinez Jr., Brianna Marquez, Ashlyn and AJ Spanarella, Ella Hoover and Emmalene Falbo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anthony J. Spanarella Sr., her son Anthony J. Spanarella Jr. and her brothers Al, Arthur and Don Bradbury.

Gert was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered for her patience and willingness to listen and provide guidance whenever needed. She will be forever missed by her family.
