On Sunday, January 15, 2023 Ezra Curtis Pugh, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather passed away peacefully. He was eighty-eight years old. Born to Mabel and Ezra in West Virginia, he served in the United States Navy directly out of high school, graduated from Washington Jefferson College, and went on to become a metallurgist in the mining industry.
Ezra (Curt) married the love of his life Audry (Gail) in 1956 and they were married for 62 years before her passing in 2018. They had three children. During his lifetime Ezra enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, NASCAR, reading, and in his younger years, martial arts, fencing, artistic roller skating and bowling. He is best known for his quick-witted humor, his ability to love unconditionally, and his generous spirit.
He is survived by his children, Jeff, Mark (Pam), and Laura, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Olinger Highland Funeral Home in Thornton.
