Jean died peacefully at home on December 27th from challenges related to multiple sclerosis. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years Barry, her adoring daughters Suzanne (Grant) Mackin, Sharon (Matthew) Will, and grandchildren Nicole, Emma, Owen and Wyatt to whom she was a very proud and doting Grandma. Jean will also be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Wayne (Renate), her nieces and nephews, her aunts Jean, Nancy, Agnes and many life-long friends who she cherished. Jean is predeceased by her parents Arnold and Margaret and her sister Judy. A special thank you to Dr. Brenda Whitney for her exceptional care and kindness. Jean lived with multiple sclerosis for more than 45 years but did not let it define her, approaching life with a wry sense of humour and successfully building a happy and loving home. She will be forever missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 1st from 10 a.m. at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel .
