Lloyd Smith

After a courageous battle with cancer, Lloyd passed away at home on October 17th, 2009 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Anne . Cherished Dad of Joanne (Rob), Michele (Michael), Glenda (Tom), Denise (George) and Shawn (Jackie). Proud Papa of Sarah Jane, Sean, Danielle, Ashton, Ryan, Matthew, Caitlin, Nicole, Emily, Dennis, Jada and Mercedes. Great-grandfather of Carter. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, colleagues and clients that meant so much to him. He was a talented, accomplished man, providing advice as a chartered accountant and senior partner at McCluggage & Smith for over fifty years. As well, Lloyd always made time to volunteer at his church and served on numerous advisory boards. An avid golfer and original member of the Board of Trade Golf and Country Club.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 4-9pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 1:00pm at St. Louis-De-France Roman Catholic Church (1415 Don Mills Road). Interment to follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
