Kieu Thi Tran, age 82, passed away peacefully at the Mackenzie Health Centre in Richmond Hill, Ontario, on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Born in the year of the Rat (1936) in Go Cong, Vietnam, she immigrated and settled in Toronto, Canada with her five sons: Loc, Nien, Hien, Van and Chuong Tran. During warm summer days, she would dedicate her time at Phap Van Buddhist Temple. There, she practiced her faith and engaged with her community activities. Her participations included humanitarian trips to India, Germany, France, Holland, the United States and Vietnam.
During the colder winter days, she would fly back home to join her other 8 children including Phong, Dung, Tho, Thang, Le, Thu, Ha & Cuc Tran.
Having bared 13 children, Kieu has 28 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who love her very much.
Kieu was preceded in death by her husband, Chan Tran.
