Janet Grey Chaplin

It is with great sadness but happiness for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Jean Chaplin at North York General Hospital on January 20, 2009, with her family by her side. Jean was in her 85th year. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Stanley (2006), loving and cherished mom of Janet (Dave) McLellan, John (Chris) and Elizabeth (Cam) MacPherson. Adored and extraordinary grandma of Sarah, Jeffrey and Christopher McLellan, Adam (Alisha), Mark and Lindsay Chaplin and Scott and Lisa MacPherson. Proud great-grandmother of Sage and Jasmine Chaplin. Dear sister of Ted and predeceased by George Hayes. She will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. Committed long time member of Lansing United Church. Jean had a special light about her that brightened the hearts of those whose lives she touched. Funeral service and celebration of Jean's life will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 12:00 noon at Lansing United Church, 49 Bogert Avenue, Willowdale (enter off of Poyntz Avenue). Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Cremation. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association or Lansing United Church.
