Jack Ridgeway

Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 after a lengthy illness at Scarborough Hospital-General Division, in his 78th year. Jack, son of the late Winnifred and Gilbert "Bus" Ridgeway. Beloved husband of Margit for 52 years. Proud father of John and his wife Diane, Mark and Peter. Loving Grandpa of Melynda, Brittany and Bret. Dear brother of Patricia Partridge and her husband Bob (deceased) and Ann Adomeit (deceased) and her husband Dieter. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and many friends. He worked many years in the hockey world as a coach and as a respected player representative. Jack counselled many young men who aspired to play professional hockey. He enjoyed his association with Toronto Funeral Coach and R.S. Kane Funeral Home for more than 20 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Private cremation. Donations to The Scarborough Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
