Executive, confidant, teacher, counsellor, entrepreneur, meditator, avid reader, tree and shrub pruner, great friend to human beings everywhere. Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully just weeks shy of his 71st birthday. Beloved husband of Monica Foley (née Gleeson). Kind and wise father to Adam and Sean. Loving father-in-law of Kathryn (Long) and Rachel (Devlin). Doting Pappy to Hannah, Renée, and Declan. In the embrace of his Creator, he is joyfully reunited with his dear son, Matthew. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 19 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evergreen Hospice, or to Markham Stouffville Hospital, where Brian and his family received the love and compassion they so urgently needed. He left his world a better place than the way he found it.
