Today our family and the community deeply mourns the passing of Angelo DelZotto.

He passed away peacefully with his wife Carol and his daughters by his side.
Angelo, the visionary leader of Tridel, the great Canadian Company that has built homes for over one-hundred-thousand families.
The City Builder who became a legend in his own time as he pursued his passion and purpose to make the world a better place.
And he did.
Angelo liked to say he created shelter and his joy in life came from connecting people to their families, their communities and their home. He sheltered so many. He sheltered us all in a way that only he could; with wisdom and a quiet humble strength that made us all become a greater version of ourselves.
He has touched so many lives in so many ways; as a transformational leader, a son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and more. His impact is too great to capture in a few words. Always humble and always a gentleman, he achieved and did so much for others leaving a legacy of kindness and an unrelenting belief in the goodness of people.
Angelo will be deeply missed by us all, especially his wife of 56 years, lifetime partner and soulmate Carol who survives him along with his: children, Michael, David (Stacy), Tara (Jerry) and Andrea (Christopher) ; grandchildren, Steven (Dana), Luke, Vanessa, Jack, Riley, Liam, Mila; greatgrandchild Mabel; and his brothers Elvio, Leo and their families.
We believe the impact of his life is beyond measure. We know through our memories of him and his legacy, he will continue to lead and inspire us to be better and to do better.
Angelo, who liked to say he graduated from the scaffold , has now transcended to that final achievement where he and we, can reflect on a life well lived in every way. A life with purpose and integrity. A life of a well respected and much loved man.
We want to give special thanks to the Sunnybrook Hospital Intensive Care Unit & Palliative Care who gave our family exceptional care and comfort. We would like to request, in lieu of flowers that you share your generosity with them, in a donation in Angelo’s name, so they in turn may continue to support others.
