She leaves behind her loving mother Melissa and uncles, Dan and Stephen, cousins, second cousins, great aunts and uncles and many friends as well as her dog Bandit & Miko the parrot. Her beloved Grandmother Susan and Grandfather Papa Tony predecease her.
Alaina along with her mother spent much of her life on her grandma’s boat in Lake Ontario where she developed her love of nature and the great outdoors. There she also learned to fish and swim in the cool water of the lake and become an avid camper as she grew up.
She and her mother later moved to Sutton where she graduated school and became involved in the community.
Alaina was a beautiful and vibrant soul who could light up a room with her warm smile and her adorable dimples. She had a passion for life, which she embraced to the fullest. Her many friends loved to be around her to share in her positive energy, lively conversations, and abounding generosity. She was always the life of the party.
Alaina loved listening to music and going to various concerts. She expanded her musical genres to include jazz, indie and soulful blues. It was a huge part of her life, and it was such a pleasure seeing her enjoy her music, filling the house with joy. She went to see her first opera; Don Giovanni, which had a huge impact on her. She fell in love with live theatre. She was maturing into such a lovely young woman.
She was also very dedicated to wellness and physical fitness and loved spending time at the gym. Her body was her temple and she treated it with the utmost respect. Alaina enjoyed gardening, growing all types of vegetables and creating sumptuous meals from the fruits of her labor.
Alaina was an organ donor and was able to save the lives of five recipients through her donation. While she will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind, it is comforting to know that through her generous heart and spirit, she will live on.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Georgina Food Pantry would be greatly appreciated.
