Nancy Belle Smith

Nancy Bell Fuquay Smith, also known as Granny Smith, passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 84, in Lexington, NC, United States. Nancy was born on January 8, 1939, in Greensboro, NC, to Pauline and Earl Fuquay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smith, mother, Pauline Case, father, Earl Fuquay, and brother, Bud Fuquay.

Nancy was a loving, kind, and generous woman who had a fierce love for family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Mugsy. Her favorite activities included baking with her mother's recipes and shopping. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Nancy worked as an operator for Bell South and retired after many years of dedicated service.

Nancy will be missed by her surviving family members, including her son, Gregory Smith, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Smith and her grandchildren, Chesney, Jake, and Tyler Smith.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 6-8pm.

Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, love, and generosity towards her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
