Hazel Harrison McKinney

Mrs. McKinney was born on August 20, 1923 in Carter County, TN to the late Winston Weaver and Vena Belle Morris Harrison. For many years, she had worked as a Training Supervisor at Burlington Industries and was a member of Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, canning, working in her garden, and traveling places with her husband Charlie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie George McKinney, and three sons, Larry, Billy, and Charles McKinney.

Surviving are her children, Gene Ballard and wife Joy of Thomasville, Carol Fuller and husband Joel of Thomasville, and Roger McKinney of Thomasville; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with her son-in-law Rev. Joel Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm Tuesday prior to the service at Thomasville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Hunter, Steven Ballard, Mark Ballard, Michael Ballard, Jessie Penley, and Tim Hunter.
