Dora Mae Burleson, 82, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Dora Mae was born in Davidson County, January 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Edward Kinney Bradshaw and Lora Cladis York Bradshaw. She was a faithful employee of Thayer Coggin for 39 years. Dora Mae was a faithful member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church where she taught small children and was involved with missions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bobby Burleson. Dora Mae loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Kaye King and Gloria Mashburn (Eddy); two sons, Kinnie Burleson and Perry Burleson (Wanda); two sisters, Betty Bradshaw and Cladis Myers; three grandchildren, Dustin Hester, Kerri Parker (Brian) and Daniel Mashburn ( Wanda); six great-grandchildren, Sam, Brittany, Carson, Meredith, Weston and Cooper; a great-great-granddaughter, Peyton.
A Celebration of Dora Mae's life will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Landreth and Daniel Mashburn. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 1 p.m. until the service.
