Mrs. Daisy Ruth Hatfield, 81, a resident of the Brian Center in Lexington, passed away January 15, 2014.
Daisy was born on October 10, 1932 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late Wayne and Lena Lester England. Daisy was a member of the Thomasville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.
Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca Damron and her husband Jimmy of Thomasville; her grandson, Kyle Damron; four sisters, Ernestine Miller and husband Donald of Hanover, WV, Rose Merrill & husband Jim of Parkersburg, WV, Shirley Thornsbury of High Point, and Kathy Spivey and husband Johnny of Trinity; and one brother, Larry England and wife Sissy of High Point.
A celebration of Daisy’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 18th in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Minister Alan Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
