Clarence William Brooks, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 11, 2011.
Clarence was born June 7, 1933 in Wilkes County to the late Charlie and Lena Brooks.
He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Thomasville.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife of 56 yrs, Betty Jo Brooks, of the home; sons, Danny Clarence Brooks and wife Lorie, Gregg Walter Brooks; daughter, Cindy Jo Blackburn and husband Clyde; granddaughter, Jessica Anne Brooks; grandsons, Wesley Clyde Blackburn and wife Fallon, Dustin Clarence Brooks and Bryan William Blackburn, all from Thomasville.
The family will receive friends Sunday May 15, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Thomasville Funeral Home, followed with a 3:00 pm chapel service; interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church.
