Catherine Shuler Williams, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Hinkle Hospice House following a brief illness.
Catherine was born in Davidson County, November 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Sandy Alexander and Evia Shuler. She was a graduate of Pilot High School and Ashemore Business School. Catherine was married to J. Kyle Williams on December 29, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was retired from Erwin-Lambeth Furniture and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Catherine was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Surviving are two daughters, Lee Ann Burton and husband Rev. Rodney Burton of Thomasville, and Jane Montgomery of Mt. Airy. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Brittany Montgomery of Morrisville, Alexa Davis and husband Joseph of Dobson and Joshua Burton of Thomasville; two great-grandchildren, Ansley Davis and Tripp Davis of Dobson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Catherine's life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rodney Burton. Burial at Holly Hill Memorial Park will be private. There will not be a formal visitation, but friends may pay their respects Monday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
