Brenda Diane Ward

Brenda Diane Floyd Ward, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Brenda was born August 9, 1942, in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Rev. Cicero Floyd and Kate Culbreth Floyd. She retired from Wright Printing Company after many years of service. Brenda was a faithful member of Hillside Park Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Brenda loved animals, always had a dog and enjoyed time with her family, especially attending baseball games with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Denisea Ward and her wife Jennifer and Jeff Ward and his wife Sabrina; two grandchildren, Dylan Ward and Kyleigh Ward; two brothers, Jim Floyd and Mike Floyd, and numerous nieces and nephews; and her favorite "child", Buddy the dog.

She was preceded in death by eleven siblings, Ernestine Pruitt, Ella Robbins, Margaret Morgan, Betty Koontz, Imogene Parker, Bill Floyd, Johnny Floyd, Jerry Floyd, Darrell Floyd, Lester Floyd and Helen Floyd.

A Celebration of Brenda's life will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 7 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Chapel in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. prior to service. Memorials may be directed to Fairgrove Family Resource Center or Hospice of Davidson County.
